Brits buying in Beaubourg before Brexit

Paris has seen an increase in apartment purchases by British people in the runup to the United Kingdom leaving the European Union. According to Barnes real estate agents, as many as a quarter of their transactions in the Marais this month were from people fleeing London.

This trend is accelerating as the transition date is only four months away. It’s another contributing factor driving purchase prices higher in the French capital. Rent increases should continue as well. Read the full story at Les Echos (link in French).
